HOPEWELL — Olde St. Peter’s Church is preparing for its summer leisure service starting 8 a.m. Sunday, June 4 and continuing every Sunday to Labor Day.

Each Sunday features music by talented local musicians and singers with the Rev. Jim Riley of Immanuel United Methodist Church conducting the services and Pam Eskridge will play the organ. On June 4 it will be Rev. Jim and Debbie Riley providing the music; on June 11 it will be Linda and Charles Laird, on June 18 Sandy Whipps, and on June 25 Denise Walters.

The church located at 26986 St. Peter’s Church Road has been a site of worship since 1782. The circa 1850 sanctuary was modified with a spire in 1884 and the interior and exterior were modified again in 1901. Everyone is welcome to attend.

At 11 a.m. services are held at Immanuel UMC in Crisfield, 206 W. Main Street.
