MILLSBORO — With spring just around the corner, plans are shifting into high gear for the 22nd annual Pumpkin Run road rally, a fundraiser for the Millsboro Fire Co.

Presented by the North East Rally Club, with Joe Roche as the rally master, the event will be held May 19-21, featuring half- and full-day courses throughout the Delmarva region. The competition tests skill, navigation, calculation, teamwork and the ability to decipher precise instructions.

The field traditionally features many classic vehicles, which, via staggered starts, will take to highways, usually traveling well below posted speed limits.

The 2022 run drew entries from as close as Maryland and as far as California, in cars ranging from a 1932 Buick to a 1969 Saab, as well as several open-air vehicles.
