Norman F. Wheeler

SMYRNA - Norman F. Wheeler, 80, of Smyrna, passed away at Courtland Manor in Dover, on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Mr. Wheeler served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of VFW Post 652 in Millington, Md. where he served as Post Commander from 2006-2007. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Pauline Wheeler; parents, Franklin and Mildred Wheeler; and three brothers, Ronnie, Bobby and Charles. Norman is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Wheeler Heininger and her husband, Joe and Mary Wheeler; a brother, Edward Wheeler and his partner, Terry Meddock. He is also survived by his two step-children, Patricia "Patti" Connell Foreman and her husband, John, and Scott Connell and his wife, Kim; five step-grandchildren, Renee Cohee and her husband, Jamie, Jorge Delgado, Courtney, Ashley and Chelsea Connell; and one great-grandson, Wesley Cohee; his two children, Darlene Wilfong and Tammy Morales and her husband, Maurice; four grandchildren, Lisa and Norman Wilfong, Jr., Stephen Wheeler and Nikki VanDyke; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Smyrna Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
