DENTON - Norma Lee Towers of Hobbs near Denton, Md., died at her home on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. She was 87 years old. Born in Hynson near Federalsburg, Md. on May 4, 1927, Mrs. Towers was the daughter of the late Orville Jefferson Morgan and Elsie Bailey Morgan. She was a 1944 graduate of the Federalsburg High School. She married her husband, W. Roland Towers, in 1945 and worked with him for many years after he founded Towers Vault Co. (presently Towers Concrete and Hobbs Contractors) in 1962. Mr. Towers died Jan. 20, 2001. She was also a member of the AMES United Methodist Church in Hobbs. Mrs. Towers is survived by four sons, William R. Towers (Gail), Thomas M. Towers (Donna), Daniel E. Towers, and Jefferson B. Towers (Jennie), all of Hobbs near Denton; two sisters, Gladys Collins of Federalsburg and Marie Elliott of Seaford, Del.; 7 grandchildren, Michele Bodine, Julia McNeil, Christine Towers Breeding, Alex Towers, Rhiannon Cummings, Ian Towers, and Jordan Towers; and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by Ms. Daisy Bolden, her close friend and caregiver. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct.30th, 2014, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second St. in Denton where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery, 28465 Meeting House Road in Denton.
