GEORGETOWN - Norma Jean Brewer passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Ms. Brewer was an operator for Shore Answering Service in Georgetown for the past 10 years. She enjoyed bowling, reading and putting puzzles together. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Olen Neal, Sr.; and a brother, Olen Neal, Jr. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Anna Mae and George Truitt of Georgetown; a son, John David Gorrick, Jr.; a daughter, Lori Showard, both of Georgetown,; two brothers, David Wayne Neal of Millsboro and James David Neal of Conn.; a sister, Carol Lynn Heck, of Md.,; five grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, Jasmine, Lillian and Cody. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Marvel Carriage Museum, 5105 Bedford St., Georgetown, DE. Contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
