Nina Mae Peyser

WILMINGTON, Del. - Nina Mae Peyser, originally of Dover, passed away in her sleep on Oct. 28, 2010, at her home in Wilmington. She was 78. Nina graduated from Delaware State College with honors in 1980 and worked as a Financial Accountant for J P Morgan in Wilmington for 15 years. She also attained her Masters in Accounting while working at J P Morgan in 1989. Besides her parents and sister, she was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Montana in 1962; and her youngest son, Mitchell in 1986. Nina loved the beach, was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and entertaining, golf, classic movies and spending quality time with her daughters Martine and Monique. Nina's memory will endure as a funny, unique and vibrant lady as she maintained an open door where there was always good spirits, great food, music and laughter. She was loved by many who will miss her and treasure her memory always. A funeral service was held in Dover at Torbert Funeral Chapel on November 1st, 2010. Martine and Monique have requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of Nina's charities, Autism Speaks at www.autismspeaks.org.
