New Castle County Habitat homeownership orientations offered in August

WILMINGTON — Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County will be hosting four orientation sessions in August on their homeownership program. Habitat’s homeownership program is a partnership opportunity for families to invest in their future by building a simple, decent and affordable home.

Individuals interested in becoming a Habitat homeowner in New Castle County are required to attend a homeownership orientation session to join the program. During the orientation session, individuals can expect to learn about HFHNCC’s homeownership program, the application process, and program qualifications and requirements. Currently HFHNCC has properties available for homeownership in the City of Wilmington:

  • 1313 Heald St., Wilmington
  • 2228 Lamotte St., Wilmington
  • 718 Bennett St., Wilmington

Orientation sessions for the month of August are:

  • Saturday, Aug. 7, 9 a.m.
  •  Tuesday, Aug. 10, 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2 p.m.

All orientations sessions are conducted via Zoom. Those interested in attending a homeownership orientation can register online. For more information, please contact familyservices@habitatncc.org.
