SMYRNA - Nellie Scott Marencin, of Smyrna, Del., died on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at home. She was 80. She was born in Chester, Pa. and resided in Media, Pa. before moving to Smyrna, in 2003. She was a 1951 graduate of Chester Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Marencin retired as a Registered Nurse in 1990 from Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media, Pa. after 18 years. She was the daughter of the late Nellie and Thomas Scott. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard G. Marencin, Sr.; sons, Robert of Smyrna, and Richard, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Diane Marencin of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two granddaughters, Nancy and Jennifer Marencin of Fla.; and a sister, Roberta Mooney of Trainer, Pa. A Christian Burial Service will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Lakeside M.E. Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, Smyrna.
