Nellie May Redmon

MILLSBORO - Nellie May Redmon passed away on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 at the Renaissance Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Millsboro. She was 83. Mrs. Redmon was born the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Pearl E. (Richardson) Watson. Mrs. Redmon was a switchboard operator at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore for 31 years retiring in 1978. After her retirement Mrs. Redmon and her sons moved to Delaware. Mrs. Redmon was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Lewes. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all. Mrs. Redmon was involved in various church organizations and enjoyed music and dance. In addition to both parents, Mrs. Redmon was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton K. Redmon Sr. in 1981. She also was preceded in death by all of her siblings. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Clifton K. Redmon Jr. and his wife Judith of Jacksonville Fla. and Michael D. Redmon and his wife Georgia of Milton; a granddaughter, Kayla E. Redmon also of Milton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23,2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market Street Georgetown DE., where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriots Way Milford De. 19963.
