Neil K. Carlisle

DOVER - Neil K. Carlisle passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at Silver Lake Nursing Home. Mr. Carlisle was born July 17, 1933 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Kenneth Carlisle and Ethel Machat Carlisle. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Carlisle was a mechanical engineer for Bio Control Technology for three years, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed collecting stamps and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Vivian Bexon. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Heck Carlisle, of Dover; daughters, Denise Hancock, of Riverside, Calif., Colleen Carlisle-Nicholas and her husband John, of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., and Jenniffer Carlisle, of Londonderry, N.H.; sister, Elaine Carpenter and her husband, Jack Hagerty, of Ellenton, Fla.; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE, 19966. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Salvation Army. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
