DOVER — The Early College School at Delaware State University will welcome guests from across the state July 10 to highlight the new Hornets Rising program.
The summer learning initiative is designed to strengthen rising seventh through ninth graders’ academic, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, utilizing project-based learning and hands-on experiences.
The Early College gathering will coincide with National Summer Learning Week, July 10-14, which invites youth across the nation to engage in enriching educational activities during summer break. This annual event, organized by the Education Foundation, aims to combat summer learning loss and foster a love for lifelong learning.
Throughout the week, schools, community centers, libraries and various educational institutions will host an assortment of activities designed to keep young minds engaged.
It is also an opportunity for families to participate in their children’s educational journey. Parents and guardians are encouraged to join their kids in these activities, reinforcing the importance of learning and spending quality time together.
