DOVER - Naomi Morris Jennings was born to Florence and Jay Cyrus Morris in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 23, 1926, and she entered into rest in Dover on May 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett; and her sister, Vermell. Naomi is survived by her three children, Cheryl, Gail, and Everett Jr.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters. A viewing will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home located at 717 West Division Street in Dover. Funeral services will be held at Mount Zion AME Church located at 101 N. Queen Street in Dover with a viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and the service beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Naomi's alumni association scholarship fund at Delaware State University in which she was very active; NYC DSU Alumni Association c/o Cheryl Ighodaro, 68 Jay Street, Suite 307, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
