DOVER - Nancy Louise Becht Weaver, entered the world on Dec. 13, 1929, in Buffalo, N.Y., and departed from her home in Dover on March 3, 2011, surrounded by members of her loving family. She lived a rich, full life, having visited many countries and had the opportunity to live for extended periods of time in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and New Delhi, India, with her husband, a Foreign Service Officer of the U. S. Government. She was a person of many accomplishments, having worked in a number of professional settings. Nancy gave generously of her time and talents to many volunteer organizations over the years, including Mother Teresa's orphanage in New Delhi, the Problem Pregnancy Center, Women's Aglow Fellowship, and Grace Presbyterian Church, among many others, and she received many accolades for her intelligence, insight, and commitment. But all of Nancy's accomplishments pale in comparison to the commitment, dedication, and enthusiasm with which she embraced her role in serving as the heart of her family. She enriched beyond description the life of her loving husband for over 62 years, supporting him in his career endeavors, rearing their children together, and sharing countless adventures throughout the country and the world. She delivered and tenderly reared, nurtured, admonished, encouraged, served, guided, and grounded in love eight children, 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and taught them by example how to live a life of significance, full of faith, adventure, service, and love for others. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, soul, and strength, and His love shone through her as she ministered to all those she encountered. Her bright spirit, laughter, wisdom, gentleness, strength, and enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Don (Buck) Weaver; her children and their spouses, Michael Weaver, of Denton, Texas; Cheryl and Kevin Gallagher, of Dover, David Weaver, of Novato, Calif., Jeffrey and Charlene Weaver, of Peachtree City, Ga.; Jody and Don Stein, of Dover, Tina and Andrew Nisbet, of Pahoa, Hawaii, Bonnie and Sam Turner, of Leesburg, Va., and Tim and Jung Ah Weaver, of Rabat, Morocco; her loving sister, Donna Naedele, of East Aurora, N.Y.; and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A memorial service will be held on 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12th at Grace Presbyterian Church, 350 McKee Road, Dover. All are invited to attend a gathering at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission, c/o BILD International, 2400 Oakwood Road, Ames, IA 50014.
