Nancy L. White

MILTON- Nancy L. White passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 14, 2012. Born in Milton, Del. on Aug. 19, 1938 the daughter of the late Howard Freeman Bailey and Melba (Copes) Bailey. Nancy graduated from Milton High School and then proceeded to work for several years with her husband Dr. James C. White as an office manager in his podiatry office. She was also a member of Goshen United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Milton Vol. Fire Company for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Dr. James "Doc" White; brothers, John Bailey, Howard I. Bailey, George W. Bailey, Cecil Bailey, Jimmy Bailey, and Richard Bailey; sisters, Bettyann Johnson, Shirley Jane Adams, and Vera Foraker. Mrs. White is survived by her daughter, Dana Hiester and husband Brad, Donna Wilson, Trudy White Schuyler; son, Charles Arnsy White; brothers, Donald L. Bailey, Clarence "Jigger" Bailey and his wife Louise; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery, Milton, Del.
