MILFORD - Nancy L. Lewis went home to be with the Lord at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016. Mrs. Lewis was born in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Cullen E. and Sarah Louise (Duncan) Shetler. She worked as a supervisor for Perdue and ConAgra. Nancy enjoyed music concerts, crossword puzzles, and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clayton Lee Gouge; her second husband, John William Lewis; sister, Holly Joy Shetler; and her son, James Blake Gouge. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Meadows, Randall Gouge, Michele Clay, and Melissa Day; a very special friend, Michael Davis; sister, Carol Huckins; grandchildren, Brian Clay, Eric Elliott, Steven Evans, Brandi Jones, Jayson Parks; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Whitney, Sawyer, Kylyn, Zethan, James, Braden, Benton, Benjamin, Jaylon, Sierra, and Jack. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Burial will be private. Flowers are accepted or donations in Nancy's memory can be made to, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
