Nancy Jane McKee

DOVER - Nancy Jane McKee, of Dover, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Feb. 7, 1942 in Laurel, Del., the third of five children born to Marvin and Ocie Bryant Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raby Brown; and infant sister, Daisy Mae Brown. Nancy was the owner of McKee's ceramic shop for over a decade, but her full time job was to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Nancy enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, spending time at their cottage on the bay, and her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of over fifty years, William H. McKee, III of Dover, Del.; two daughters, Paula Hooker and her husband Randy of Dover, Stacey Fitzwater and her husband Paul of Dover; brother, Ronnie Brown and his wife Fran of Goldsboro, Md.; sister, Diane Gramley and her husband Dennis of Franklin, Pa.; five grandchildren, Shane Roy and his wife Novalee of Dover, Caitlin Hoyd and her husband Kyle of Harrington, Elijah Hooker of Dover, Kayla Fitzwater and her fiance Derek of Felton, Jessica Barnes and her husband Zach of Abilene, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Lilly, Hannah, Madalynn, Camden and another soon to arrive. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Remembrance services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 12 noon at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Friends may also call Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963 or on line at delawarehospice.org Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com or www.delmarvaobits.com
