Nancy Dorothea Barrett, 95

Dover - Nancy Dorothea Barrett, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, with family by her side at Capital Nursing Home in Dover. She and her twin brother William were born in Hazelton, N.D., on Nov. 12, 1913. She and her family moved to New York State in 1923 and then to Dover, in 1926, where she attended and graduated from Dover High School in 1933. She married John H. Barrett in April of 1935, and lived on Sun-Del Ranch in Magnolia for many years. She worked for 12 years at Sears Robuck & Co. in Downtown Dover. Nancy was preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters, as well as her husband of 57 years. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley B. Kruppa and her husband Theodore of Camden; two sons, John C. Barrett and his wife Marjorie of Harrington, and Robert W. Barrett and his wife Nancy of Little Creek; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Remembrances services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday and family and friends may call one hour before the service at Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
