MILTON - Nancy (West) Aydelotte passed away peacefully on Monday, Apr. 24, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare. Nancy, a lifelong Milton resident, was born in Milford, daughter of the late Howard T. and Mary Vinyard (Brittingham) West. Nancy graduated from Milton High School and went to work as a court stenographer with Judge Stevenson at Family Court in Dover. She then worked as an office manager for Attorney James Sabo, Top Side Restaurant, and then Dr. Charles Wagner, MD. Nancy also was a CNA and worked with Genesis in Milford and the Visiting Nurses Association. Nancy was a member of Goshen UM Church. She loved attending church, gardening, flowers, cooking and baking. As a youngster and throughout her life she also worked alongside her family on their Milton farm and produce stand, West Produce. She is survived by a son, Rick W. Aydelotte and his wife, Stephanie; a granddaughter, Chelsea F. Aydelotte, all of Milton; and a host of extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Apr. 29, 2017, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, with visitation Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Henlopen Memorial Park. Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made to Goshen U.M. Church, 103 Mulberry Street, Milton, DE 19968.
