Nancy Anne Robinson Morris DOVER - Nancy Anne Robinson Morris, of Dover, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 68. Mrs. Morris was born Aug. 12, 1941, in Milford, to the late Hayward W. and Nancy Hamm Robinson. She had worked for 19 years at Dover Air Force Base in the Civil Engineering Squadron until 1986. Mrs. Morris then went to work for Harrington Realty as a realtor. She was a member of the Federal Women's Program and the Miles River Yacht Club. Mrs. Morris enjoyed skiing in Aspen, cruising the Caribbean, flying with her husband to the Bahamas in their private plane, and their vacations. She also enjoyed her herb garden, gourmet cooking, collecting recipes, teaching culinary tricks to friends, and collecting dolls, jewelry, and hand feeding her mute swan Beauty. Mrs. Morris was a terrific dancer, chef, wife, mother and friend. She loved life every day to the fullest, loved to laugh and always doing for others. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Hayward Robinson, USN. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Leon F. Morris of Dover; son, Rick Payne of Dover; sister, Sharon Lee Robinson, of Hemet, CA; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons all of Dover; her extended family the Lanks in Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and numerous friends throughout the East Coast. Memorial services will be noon, Friday, April 23, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of your choice. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
