N. Janette (Dashiell) Murray, 69
OCEAN VIEW - N. Janette (Dashiell) Murray, of Ocean View, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was 69.
Mrs. Murray was born Dec. 4, 1938, in Baltimore, daughter of the late Franklin and Louise Dashiell of Mount Vernon, Md.
She graduated from Washington High School in Princess Anne, Md., and attended Goldey Beacom Business College in Wilmington.
Mrs. Murray worked several years at the restaurant Murray's Topside, which her husband started and founded.
The majority of her married life, she was a homemaker.
She was also a member of Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Capt. William O. Murray; and her older brother, Franklin "Ralph" Dashiell.
She had been blessed with two daughters, Denise Adkins and husband Mark, and Diana Wech and husband John; five grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa and Schyler Adkins and Nicholas and Nathan Wech. She is also survived by one brother, Robert Dashiell and his family of Camden.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church, Ocean View, where friends and family may call after 12:30 p.m.
Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Janette's name to Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View, DE 19970; or to the Kidney Foundation of the Eastern Shore, 1107 Kenilworth Drive, Suite 202, Baltimore, MD 21204.
