Mystle Brittingham, 85 FELTON - Mystle Brittingham, of Felton, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, of lung cancer. She was 85. She was born in Greensboro, Md., to the late John and Landa Hughes Baynard. Mystle was a member of the United Methodist Church of Felton, the Felton Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Historical Society of Felton, the Senior Centers of Frederica and Harrington, and the Committee Democratic Club. For several years she served as the Democratic Committee Woman of the 30th Rep. District. In 1977, Mystle retired from the state of Delaware following 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Oscar, Milton, Paul, John, George, and Frank Baynard; and three sisters, Mildred Harrington, Margaret Sipple and Elma Melvin. The family gives special thanks to Delaware Hospice for their outstanding help and support and also to Diane Nemith and Norma Cannon. Mystle is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Bette Brittingham of Felton; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Charlie Stubbs of Felton; grandson, Bret Brittingham of Felton; granddaughter, Wendi Sue Stubbs of Hilton Head, S.C.; and great-granddaughter, Erica Brittingham of Harrington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South Dupont Hwy., Harrington, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901; or to a favorite charity.
