Wilkinson, 67 MILTON - Myron 'Mike' Wilkinson aka 'Wilson', of Milton, passed away Thursday September 4, 2014. He was 67. Mr. Wilkinson was born to the late Franklin and Bessie (Slater) Wilkinson Sr. in New York, N.Y. He was a US Army Veteran and in the Air Force Reserves. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church and worked for Bridgeville Machining for 20 years. Mr. Wilkinson was also a member of the VFW Post 2931 in Ellendale, Lewes Elks Lodge, and he enjoyed driving old cars and bowling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin Wilson Jr; and sister, Pricilla Oliver. Wilson is survived by his wife, Susan (Van Auken) Wilkinson; son, Anthony Wilkinson of Newark; daughter, Jennifer Jester of Greenwood; step-son, Scott Wilkins and his wife Stacy of Milton; father-in-law, Charles Van Auken of Georgetown; siblings, Nancy Friello of Patterson, N.Y., Billy Wilkinson of Florida, Carol Boomhower of Colony, N.Y., Connie Meyer of Chatham, N.Y.; grandchildren, Tyler Jester, Brittany Wilkinson, Anthony Wilkinson, Dylan Wilkins, Cullen Wilkins, Caitlyn Crockett; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews across New York. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday September 10, 2014 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 416 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968 where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Millsboro.
