Mrsich: Passing window tint bill will lead to more crashes

Posted

I am writing you to express my opinion regarding the bill that will allow auto window tinting to be 35% more.

I disagree with passing this bill, as I feel that it would make drivers more prone to causing collisions.

I drove for 48 years in New York City and have driven for nine years here in Delaware. I drove a car that had dark-tinted windows on two sides and the rear for one day about 30 years ago. It was hard to see out the sides and the rear during the daytime and worse at night. Also, my vision would be severely compromised in this dark-tinted vehicle during rain or snow. I was glad to return the car to its owner.

I really have sympathy for the police, who have to deal with the drivers of these vehicles.

Please do not allow this bill to pass!
