Mother Marian R. Benson, 64 HARRINGTON - Mother Marian Benson, of Harrington, passed away on July 10, 2010, at Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. Born on Oct. 17, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Byard and Alberta Smith. She was 64. Mother Benson lived her life to serve God. She worked tirelessly at New Hope Pentecostal Church in Dover, as a Pastor's wife, youth pastor and a counselor to many. She was the owner of Heaven Sent Day Care where many children called her Mom Mom. Viewing services will be Friday, July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division Street, Dover, and Saturday, July 17 from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Hope Pentecostal Church, 10 Sharon Hill Road, Dover. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Gardens, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
