GEORGETOWN - Mildred Alberta Short, of Georgetown, passed away on Jan. 20, 2011, at the home of her son. She was 76. She was born in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Mable (Willey) Millman. She worked for American Original Foods for 2 years. She enjoyed camping and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Peter E. Wilson; and her second husband, Thomas Short. She is survived by her children, Kenneth E. Wilson and his wife Dawn of Seaford; step-son, Thomas Short III of Newark; two sisters, Helen Wilson of Georgetown, and Shirley Taylor of Ohio; and five brothers, Norman Millman, Joseph Millman, both of Georgetown, Ronald Millman and is wife Dee of Milford, Bob Millman and his wife Pat of Georgetown and Daniel Millman and his wife Darlene of Greenwood; 13 grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren; and good friends, Irene Scott, Irene Elliott and Doris Ellingsworth. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in McColleys Cemetery, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 DuPont Blvd., Suite 6, Millsboro, DE 19966.
