'Millie', 32 SMYRNA - Mildred A. Hansen, 'Millie' passed away on Oct. 6, 2016 at home of melanoma. Millie was born on Dec. 5, 1983 in Easton, Md., daughter of John T. Steele and the late Mildred A. Webb. She was raised in Queen Anne's County until the age of 13 when her family moved to Townsend. Millie was a 2001 graduate of Smyrna High School where she played flute for the band. She received her associate's degree in Nursing in 2004 and her masters in 2010 from Wesley College. She was a registered nurse working for Delaware Surgery Center. She is survived by her husband of three years, Jason Hansen; her father, John Steele of Seaford; step-son, Freddie Kirch of East New Market, Md.; sisters, Vicki Quinn (Danny) of Chestertown, Md. and Tracey Rodney (Scott) of Galena, Md.; brother, Matt Steele (Annie) of Church Hill, Md.; step-father, Archie Brummitt (Sharon) of Townsend; step-sister, Stacey Cadiz (Mike) Camden; step-brother, David Brummitt of Baltimore, Md.; mother and father-in-law, David & Elizabeth Hansen of Smyrna; aunts, Joanne Hutchison (Wayne), their son, Buddy of Smyrna, Susie Riggin of Georgetown, Md., Ladease Coleman (Kenny) their daughters, Rosie and Emma of Galena, Md. and several other aunts, uncles, cousins, step brother and sisters. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Ewells St. Paul United Methodist Church, 401 West St. Clayton, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. Reception following service.
