ROCK HALL, Md. - Midge Rollison, 81, of Rock Hall, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 27, at Chestertown Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by her family. She was born Mildred Etta Taylor on July 14, 1930, to George and Mildred Berry Taylor in Chester, Pa. She graduated from Ellis School for Girls in Newtown Square, Pa., and then went on to nursing school in Wilmington, Del. She left school to marry Paul Rollison of Parkside Pa. They moved to Lawton Ave. in Rock Hall, where she raised 4 children. She worked for the Kent County Health Department as an X-ray Technician. She visited the schools, did hearing tests and later worked in Home Health and was a substitute teacher. After several years, Multiple Sclerosis forced her to take an early retirement. She was a positive person and had the most wonderful sense of humor. She became a bright light to many, including her caretakers at the nursing home and Chester River Hospice. Regardless of the excruciating pain she suffered from Osteoporosis, she always had a smile to share. She will be missed by many, including her children, Cheryl Rollison Baker and husband Bob of Chestertown, Paul Rollison and wife Marcia of Lincoln University Pa. Nancy Spitz of Rock Hall, and Kim Dean of Chestertown; five grandchildren, Jennifer Wiltsey and husband Jay of New Jersey, Virginia Rollison of New York, Abigail Rollison of Pittsburgh, and Kris and Kory Dean of Rock Hall; and one great-grandson, Jason Wiltsey of New Jersey. She is survived by her brother, George Taylor of Brookhaven. Pa.; and niece, Elizabeth Taylor. Friends may call on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, Md., and again on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from noon to 1 p.m., at Rock Hall United Methodist Church, Rock Hall, Md., where service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
