Accused militant is taken into custody in the deadly 2012 Benghazi attack, Justice Department says
SUMMARY: The Justice Department says a key participant in the deadly 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, has been taken into custody and will be prosecuted in connection with a rampage that killed four Americans and became a divisive political issue. Zubayar Al-Bakoush was identified by officials Friday as a member of an extremist militia in Libya. Al-Bakoush had been wanted by the United States for more than a decade and is accused in a newly unsealed indictment of joining an armed mob that crashed the gates of the diplomatic mission and set fire to buildings. It's unclear if Al-Bakoush has an attorney or when he might appear in court.

Nearly 70 people rescued from New York ski mountain gondolas after malfunction
SUMMARY: Nearly 70 people had to be rescued from gondola cabins at an upstate New York ski area after a mechanical problem forced a shutdown. Authorities say skiers were stranded for hours up to 70 feet in the air on Wednesday. Staff at Gore Mountain and state park rangers climbed lift poles and used ropes and harnesses to lower people to the ground in an operation that took nearly five hours. No one was injured. About 67 skiers in 20 gondola cabins were helped down. The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority says the tower wheel assembly moved out of alignment, forcing a shutdown. The lift reopened on Thursday.

Analilia Mejia, Tom Malinowski race in New Jersey's special Democratic primary too early to call
SUMMARY: The New Jersey U.S. House Democratic primary between a onetime political director for Sen. Bernie Sanders and an ex-congressman is too early to call. Former U.S. Rep Tom Malinowski started election night with a significant lead over Analilia Mejia. That was based largely on early results from mail-in ballots. The margin narrowed as results from votes cast Thursday were tallied. The winner will face Republican Randolph Mayor Joe Hathaway, who was unopposed in the GOP primary. That election takes place April 16. The special election for the seat resulted from Democrat Mikie Sherill vacating it after being elected governor last year

Jets' Harrison Phillips says Aaron Glenn inherited 'cancerous, truculent group' in first season
SUMMARY: Harrison Phillips believes the New York Jets need a mindset change after a tough first season under coach Aaron Glenn. Phillips, acquired from Minnesota before the season, noticed a "Same Old Jets" mentality affecting the locker room. He told Roundtable Sports on Thursday that Glenn inherited a difficult group, but emphasized it wasn't individual players' fault. Phillips praised Glenn's leadership but understood how 10 straight losing seasons could impact players' mindsets. He clarified to the New York Post that his comments weren't about individuals but the overall negative narrative. Glenn has since made major coaching staff changes, including hiring Frank Reich as offensive coordinator and Brian Duker as defensive coordinator.
