DAGSBORO - Michael W. Kelly, Jr., age 67, of Dagsboro, Delaware passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at his home. Mr. Kelly was born on April 2, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Treadwell High School, Class of 1961, in Memphis, TN and from Louisiana State University School of Forestry, Class of 1965. Mr. Kelly retired from Perdue Farms in 2005. He had served as the Plant Manager in Salisbury, MD and Georgetown, DE and previously as a Human Resources Manager and H.R. Director. He had previously worked for International Paper in Georgia for 10 years. Mike was happiest and at peace when on his boat on the Indian River with fishing rod in hand or just sitting in his yard feeding the birds. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Pepper Kelly; a granddaughter he raised as a daughter Savannah Rust; his mother Ruth Free Kelly, of Sardis, Miss.; his daughter, Rhonda Kemp and husband Tony of Germantown, Tenn.; step daughter, Penny Atkins of Seaford, Del.; grandchildren, Dede, Jennifer, Christian, and Julie; step granddaughter, Cameron Morgan; and a great grandson, Aidan. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Wm Kelly; and stepson, Pepper Lee Rust, both in 2001. Services will be private and at the discretion of the family.
