MILLSBORO - Michael A. "Spanky" Holston passed away peacefully at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Mike was born on June 9, 1957 in Milford to the late Elwood and Anna Mae (Toomey) Holston. He worked for David G. Horsey and George & Lynch doing construction. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alyson Holston. Mike is survived by his wife of 32 and one half years, Melissa Holston; daughter, Heather Holston; sister, Karen Holston; and two brothers, Wayne and Alvin Holston; grandchild, Journey Holston; two nieces and four nephews; and his companion, Zeus. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, where friends may call Wednesday night, May 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. or Thursday, May 19, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, DE, 19947 to help defray funeral expenses.
