Melinda Ann Petrovich, 34

DOVER - Melinda Ann Petrovich, of Dover, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, in Bayhealth Medical Center surrounded by her family. Her age was 34. Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Beryl Petrovich. She attended the Lake Forest School District and later had received her GED. Melinda had worked in retail sales at the Dover Mall and had worked at Value City Dept. Store until illness caused her retirement in 2001. In her youth she had attended the Woodside Methodist Church and had been a member of the Woodside Emeralds 4-H Club. During her short lifetime, Melinda had touched numerous hearts of those who knew and loved her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her six children, Robert G. Brooks Jr., Alexis R. Brooks, De Shaun L. Wright, Shantell M. Burgholtz, Julius I. Petrovich and Elijah P. Petrovich all of Dover; two brothers, Robert J.Petrovich of Lincoln and Peter Petrovich of Dover; special cousin and his family, Matt and Carole Fleming of Frederica and their daughters, Michelle Fleming of Frederica, Crystal and Jason Hemric of Viola. Melinda also leaves behind her very close friends, Robert Brooks, Angela Albee and Heidi Thompson and their families along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso 1175 S. State St., Dover, where services will be held at noon. Burial will be private.
