PRINCESS ANNE — A public reception to introduce Princess Anne’s Town Manager Dr. Kristen Drummond is 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 28 at The Washington Hotel’s Sugar Water Restaurant.

The meet and greet will be an opportunity to hear her plans and share your ideas for the future of Princess Anne.

Dr. Drummond started work April 15 to succeed Jay Prouse who had resigned. She comes from a background in higher education, last at St. Charles Community College in Missouri, but the former Kristen Polk graduated from Washington High School in 2001 who for four years was at UMES.

Following the reception, Main Street Princess Anne invites everyone across the street to Hawks’ Corner for a community visioning workshop from 6-7:30 p.m.

This will be an interactive community-driven conversation focused on downtown revitalization, beautification, events, economic development and the future of the town.
