Medford R. Lofland, Jr. ("Bob"), of Milford, DE, passed away on July 13, 2026, at Delaware Hospice in Milford, surrounded by his family. He was born in Milford, the son of the late Medford Robert Lofland and Anna A. (Thomas) Lofland.
Bob graduated from Milford High School in 1959 and proudly served in the United
States Navy from 1959 to 1963. He began his career with Kraft General Foods in Dover
and, while working there, earned his bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University.
Bob remained with Kraft for more than 30 years before retiring in 1996.
Bob was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church and the Law Dogs Motorcycle
Club. He enjoyed camping, boating, motorcycling, and, most of all, traveling with his
wife.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Loreen Thompson and Joetta Hopkins; his son,
Rob Lofland and his wife, Lisa; three grandchildren, Mark Strickland Jr., Trent Lofland,
and Reid Lofland; his sister, Grace Johnson; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,
nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Lofland;
his parents; and his sister, Betty Evans.
Services will be held at Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE, on Monday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m., following a viewing at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to Delaware Hospice Camp New Hope (https://delawarehospice.org/general-donation/).
