I write in response to Ms. Beverly Monahan’s directive that “We can’t forget the Biden administration.”
I certainly agree. We should not forget that there was a time when one could actually understand what our president was saying and without the inevitable lies, insults and threats. Without the racism and bigotry. Without trying to instigate civil unrest under the guise of protecting our unlivable cities from Lord knows how many millions of blood-thirsty immigrants cleverly disguised as fieldworkers and housekeepers.
What’s most amazing — and heartbreaking — to me is that she claims we are now respected around the world. Would that it was so. Some may fear us (and not without reason, as we have a lying egomaniac in command of probably the largest military program in the world). Some may loathe us. Many laugh at us, and many more, like myself, watch in amazement at how far and how fast we have fallen. But respect? No.
She always closes her letters asking God to bless the USA. I would change that to “God help us.”
