DOVER - Maureen S. Slezak left this world surrounded by her loving family after an 18 month courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in her home. She was 68. Maureen was born on Feb. 2, 1943, in Hoboken, N.J., daughter of the late Richard and Isabella (Protomastro) Sheehan. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Class of 1960 in Hoboken, N.J. She worked at Barnes and Noble Book Store at Wesley College as assistant manager for 20 years. Maureen enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Sheehan. Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Slezak; four children, Darlene Baboo and her husband David, Walter Slezak and his wife Karri, Kimberly Slezak Larimore and her husband Jeff, and Renee Slezak Pann and her husband Ralph; a sister, Isabelle Toto and husband Regis Toto; a brother, Patrick Sheehan; an aunt, Anne Crimmins; grandchildren, Laura Fisher, Chris Baboo, Ali Slezak, Robert Hundemann, Jeffrey, Thomas, and Kyle Larimore, Richie, Ralphie, Kenny, and Adrian Pann; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Hannah Fisher; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be noon, Saturday, April 16, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
