CHURCH HILL, Md. - Matilda Theresa Buttner, 93, of Church Hill, died August 12, 2010, in Chester River Manor. Miss Buttner was born on Nov. 6, 1916, in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late George and Matilda German Buttner. She had lived in Montville, N.J., before moving to Sudlersville, in 1969. She retired in 1982 after 14 years of service with Allied Stores. Miss Buttner was a member of St. Dennis R.C. Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Buttner. She is survived by a sister, Sr. Mary Dominica of Hastings on the Hudson, N.Y.; and her dear friend and caregiver, Betty Cannon with whom she lived. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m. in St. Dennis R.C. Church, 153 N.
