DOVER - Mary Vivian Kozak, age 74, passed peacefully in her home on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, surrounded by family. Vivian was born May 6, 1936, in Ripley, Miss., the daughter of late P.A. and W. Murry Moffitt. She attended Faulkner High School and graduated in 1954. Soon after graduation, Vivian moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for the FBI until she met her husband, Bernard Kozak. On March 5, 1955, she and Bernard were married. The Kozak family settled in Dover, where Bernard was stationed at Dover Air Force Base. Vivian held clerical positions with various businesses in the Dover area. However, her main focus was being a homemaker and mother to her two children. Vivian is survived by her husband, Bernard of Dover; her two daughters, Teresa Trader and her husband Ross of Dover, Regina Wood and her husband Ron of Marydel; four grandchildren, Ariel Trader-Knauff, Chelsea Trader, Rebecca, and Robert Wood; her brother, Edward Moffitt and his wife Ernestine of Mississippi; and her sister, Flora Neri and her husband Bruno of Dover. Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Trader Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family an hour beforehand. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her devoted caregivers and Delaware Hospice for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Grace Church (www.Gracedover.com) and/or CenterPoint Church (www.Findyourcenterpoint.com) Letters of condolence may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com.
