JUPITER, Fla. - Mary McGahey Pase, 79, of Jupiter, Fla. passed away on April 28, 2015. She was the daughter of Beth and Emmert McGahey of Buena Vista, Va. Her family moved to Radford, Va. where she resided until she received her degree in Mathematics from Radford College. Mary went on to Virginia Tech and received an MBA in Statistics. She met her husband and love of her life, Richard Lee Pase and they married in 1959 and lived in Newark, Del. where Richard received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1963 Mary and Richard moved to Florida where Richard began his career at Pratt & Whitney. Mary also enjoyed a 30 year career with Pratt & Whitney. Mary and Richard shared a life time of interests. With him by her side, Mary was an active parishioner, youth group mentor and chaperone and deeply devoted to the prayer shawl ministry at Jupiter First Church; they traveled extensively both here and abrouad; became a Master Gardener and lectured and volunteered throughout Palm Beach County; she was a long term member of the Rare Fruit Conuncil of the Palm Beaches and a Sr. Master Judge of the AACA during her and Richard's 25 years of interest and collecting of antique cars and motorcycles. Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Pase; her brother, the Reverend Jed (Dotsy) McGahey; sisters-in-law, Carole (Gene) Handsberry, Patricia (Wes) Conley, and Shirley Biddle; brother-in-law, Austin (Bette Ann) Pase; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and his wife, Wallace and Janet McGahey. A visitation was held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St., Jupiter. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Jupiter First Church, 1475 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter.
