Mary Margaret Minner

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Mary Margaret "Peggy" Minner passed away suddenly on Mar. 9, 2017, in her home.
Peggy was born on Sept. 13, 1962, in Dover to Merritt W. Brown and the late Margaret M. Brown. She was a 1980 graduate of Dover High School and enjoyed playing trumpet in the marching band and being a member of the Pom-Pom squad.
Peggy had several jobs throughout her life, but the most important was helping to care for her beautiful grandchildren, Evelynn, Mackenzie and Alex Minner. They were the loves of her life.
In addition to her mother, who just recently passed away in January, she was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret M. Wood, whom she adored.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Kraig Minner and his wife, Amanda, Brian Minner, and Kyle Minner; her father, Merritt Brown; her sisters, Meredith Hawthorne and husband, Rob, Melissa Harpster and husband, Richard; her grandchildren, Evelynn, Mackenzie, and Alex Minner, and her fourth grandchild that is due this fall. She is also survived by her nephew, Darren Helwig; and niece, Rachel Harpster; her aunt, Lucy Scott; her loving cousins, Tammy Singleton, Gretchen Miller and Michelle Murphy; and her longtime friend, Stuart Brittingham.
Per Peggy's wishes, her body is to be donated to medical research. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Letters of condolences can be sent to Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St., Harrisburg, PA 17109.
