Mary Louise Clark, 90

BETTERTON, Md. - Mary Louise Clark, 90, of Betterton, died July 27, 2009, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. Mrs. Clark was born Nov. 8, 1918, daughter of the late James W. and Mary Toulson Clark. She was raised in Still Pond, Md. In 1938, she and her husband moved to Aberdeen, returning in 1959. In 1960 she began her career with Lamotte Chemical as a lab technician, retiring after 25 years of service. Mrs. Clark was a member of Betterton United Methodist Church, a trustee and was active with their United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Betterton Seniors. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Charles Wood Clark in 1958; two brothers, Charles W. Clark and Galen Clark; and three sisters, Anna Meeks, Avis Pietrosewicz, and Virginia Clark. Mrs. Clark is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and John Sorge of Betterton, Virginia and Richard Story of Reisterstown, Elizabeth Clark and John Isley of Worton, and Mary Alice and Donald Munson of Chestertown; five grandchildren, Molly Sorge, Jeff Story, Karen Story, Elizabeth Munson Davis, and Brandon Munson; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Aug. 2, in Betterton United Methodist Church, 300 Main St., Betterton, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Burial will be in Still Pond Cemetery. She was know for her generosity, love of family and friends, and warm smile. In her memory, memorials may be offered to Betterton United Methodist Church, P.O.
