Mary Jane Searles, 94
DOVER, DE - Mary Jane Searles passed away Monday, February 13, 2023. Mary Jane was born in Peekskill, New York, on October 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Harry R. and Florence E. Peck (nee Strang). In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. Searles Jr.
After growing up in Peekskill, NY, Mary Jane lived in Woodbury, NJ, Bethel, DE, Middletown, DE, and finally in Dover, DE.
Mary Jane enjoyed family cruises with children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting Williamsburg, VA regularly with her many friends. Her travels eventually took her many places in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia. She always looked forward to Saturday afternoon get-togethers with friends at Westminster. She and her family truly appreciated the care she received at Westminster Village in Dover.
She is survived by two sons, Peter F. (Colleen) and William G. Searles (Jacqueline); five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, in Cortlandt, New York.
