Mary Hendricks, 89 HARRINGTON - Mary Hendricks, 89, of Harrington, passed away at her home on July 27, 2010. Mary was born in Uniontown, Pa., to parents Susan and Stephen Bakota. Mary and her husband, owned and operated a school bus service, where she drove for 23 years. One of her highlights for many years was working at the Delaware State Fair at the Collins root beer stand. Mary was a member of the Harrington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary; Asbury UM Church; and the Harrington Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Franklin in 2002; her brother, Steve Bakota; and sisters, Julia Camper and Pauline Ward. She is survived by three sons, Roger D. and Priscilla Hendricks, Middletown, Franklin W. and Janet Hendricks, and John W. 'Jack' and Nancy Jo Hendricks, all of Harrington; two daughters, Betty and Robert Taylor and Beverly and John M. Curtis, all of Harrington; eight grandchildren, R. Douglas Hendricks, Jr., Trish Carrico, Brian Hendricks, John F. Curtis, Jen Callaway, Teresa Taylor, Rob Taylor, and Mary K. Phillips; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at the Community Hall of the Harrington Vol. Fire Company at 1 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 1, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Internment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either the Harrington Senior Center, 102 Fleming Street, Harrington, DE 19952; or Ladies Auxiliary of the Harrington Fire Company, c/o Delores Collins, 1246 Jackson Ditch Road, Harrington, DE 19952.
