CHESTERTOWN, MD - Mary Elizabeth Wood, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, in Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington, Del. She was 9. Mary was born Jan. 15, 1999 in Silver Spring, Md., and raised in Hyattsville. In 2006, she along with her parents and sisters, moved to Chestertown. She was currently attending the fourth grade at Garnett Elementary School. She loved the outdoors and being with her family. She is survived by her parents, Leonard and Michelle Nicastro Wood; twins sisters, Stephanie and Cara Wood; maternal grandparents, Cynthia and Anthony Nicastro of Frankford, Del.; and paternal grandparents, Marion Wood of West Point, N.Y., and the late Edson Wood. She is also survived by her uncles, Christopher Nicastro, the Reverend Edson J. Wood, and Gary Wood (Gail), as well as numerous great-aunts and uncles, and cousins. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 508 High St., Chestertown, Vigil to be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, Del. Memorials may be offered to A.I DuPont Hospital for Children, 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803; Ronald McDonald House, 1901 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803; or Camp Fairlee Manor, 22242 Bayshore Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
