KENTON - Mary E. (Caldwell) Williams passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Williams was born in Hazlettville, the daughter of the late Edward and Cynthia Caldwell.
She was a lifelong member of Downs Chapel Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin "Sonny" Williams.
She is survived by three sons, Sidney C. Williams and his wife Patti, Stephen G. Williams and his wife Barbara Ann, and Walker D. Williams and his wife Noor; three daughters, Melanie P. Naylor, Martia M. Barlow and her husband Bob, and Helen E. Peck and her husband Ralph; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to Downs Chapel Church, c/o Bev C. Hansen, 1781 Downs Chapel Rd., Clayton, DE 19938.
