SALISBURY, Md. - Mary E. Sharp (nee VanDussen) died Aug. 3, 2009, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. She was 75. Mary was born May 25, 1934, in Rochester, N.Y. Like her husband Bob, she graduated from the University of Michigan. Shortly afterward, they began raising their family in Milford. Mary fulfilled her calling as a supportive wife for 51 fruitful years. She also embraced the great divine calling of motherhood. For her four children, she sacrificially and faithfully placed their interests ahead of her own, rejoicing in their successes and walking with them through trials. Mary is survived by a daughter, Donna Chapman of Richmond, Va.; three sons, Steve of Charlottesville, Va., Dean of Atlanta, Ga., David of Garnet Valley, Pa.; and 11 grandchildren. The memorial service will be 11 a.m., Aug. 19, in Asbury United Methodist Church, Salisbury. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
