Mary Cordella Edwards

HENDERSON - Mary Cordella Edwards, 77, of Henderson, Md. died on Jan. 29, 2012 at Easton Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 11, 1934 in Goldsboro to the late Carlton Stanley Pratt and Mary Lynch Pratt. She attended Ridgely School and was a Time Keeper in the Personnel Office at Salisbury Brothers where she worked for 40 years retiring in 1997. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Amos Stanley Ebling; brother, "Pete" Milton Pratt; and sister, Carolyn Meyers. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Alfred J. Edwards, Sr.; three sons, Charles Ebling, Jr. of Hartly, Del., Alden Ebling of Chestertown and Vincent Ebling of Henderson; daughter, Sharon Beal of Sanford, N.C.; three step sons, Alfred J. Edwards, Jr. of Wyoming, Del., David Edwards, Sr. of Henderson, Michael Edwards of Queenstown; three step daughters, Carolyn Hinebaugh of Dover, Barbara Welzel of Denton and Donna Perrego of Dover; one brother, James Pratt of Federalsburg; two sisters, Pearl Walls of Henderson and Nancy Smith of Streamwood, Ill.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, MD 21639. The service will be on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Greensboro Cemetery. The family suggests that donations may be made to the Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 35; Goldsboro, MD 21636. Condolences to the family may be made at www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
