Marvin Edward Young "Kooky", 77
CAMDEN - Marvin Edward Young "Kooky" passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Bay Health, Kent Campus in Dover.
Born on December 23, 1943 in Goldsboro, Maryland, he was the son of the late Walter and Pauline Hutson Young. Kooky enjoyed bluegrass music and banjo. He was a member of the Eastern Shore Bluegrass Association and was a lifetime residence of the area.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Dehorty of Felton, Del. and Tyla Moffett of Camden, Del.; a son, Michael E. Young of Sandtown; five stepchildren, Larry Eyster of Greensboro, Md., Vickie Hornsby of Goldsboro, Md., Jackie Roache of Greensboro, Md., John Hutchinson of Camden, Del., and Christine Kim of St. Louis. He is also survived by two sisters, Ella Mae Korrell of Greensboro, Md., and Ann Wood of Baltimore, Md.; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Young of Lincoln, Del.; and 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, James Young, John Young, David Young, Charles Young, Alan Young, Robert Young and Paul Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md., where relatives and friends may call one-hour prior (1-2 p.m.).
