CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Martha Viola Langenfelder, of Chestertown, formerly of Baltimore County, died on Sept. 13, 2011, at Heron Point. She was 96. She was born in Raspeburg, Md., in Baltimore County on Aug. 2, 1915, the daughter of the late Henry and Anuska Ann Windisch Langenfelder. In 1936 she married to Conrad John Langenfelder, they lived in Baltimore County where they owned and operated their farm. In 1960 they purchased, owned, and operated Sunrise Trailer Park. Her husband predeceased her in 1975, a determined and hard working woman, Mrs. Langenfelder continued to operate the trailer park until 1988 when she retired. She was also predeceased by one son, the late William Henry Langenfelder in 1961. She was an active member of Zion U.C.C. church as well as a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chestertown, Md. Mrs. Langenfelder was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by a son, Conrad J. "Dutch" Langenfelder Jr. of Kennedyville, Md.; grandchildren, Jennifer Debnam, William Langenfelder, and Kristen Nickerson; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Debnam, Mark Debnam, Mitchell Debnam, Alexis Langenfelder, Kendall Langenfelder, Austin Nickerson and Michael Nickerson. Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Zion United Church of Christ, Baltimore, Md., where relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the service (10 to 11 a.m.). Relatives and Friends are also invited to a visitation on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, Md.
