Marla D. Drury

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Marla Dufendach Drury passed peacefully due to complications from cancer on Sept. 7, 2016. Born in Milford, and raised in Houston; she had lived in Chatham Township since 1989. Marla graduated from the University of Delaware and Dickinson Law School. She was the Director of Development with the Community Soup Kitchen & Outreach Center in Morristown, N.J. Marla is survived by her husband, David Drury; and children, Eric, Adam and Kate; as well as parents, Mark and Nera Dufendach; and brother, Mark Dufendach, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, 240 Southern Blvd., Chatham Township. She was a longtime member of the church, having served as a Deacon and recently elected as an Elder. She was loved by many and kind to all. Marla's passion was the Soup Kitchen, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Marla's name to: The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center, 36 South St., Morristown, NJ 07960.
