Marjorie Langabee

SMYRNA - Marjorie Langabee passed away April 15, 2011, in the Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill. She was 87. Marjorie was born on June 18, 1924, in Georgetown, daughter of the late Albert and Irma (Turner) Scheer. She had worked as a nurse's aide and later enjoyed life as a homemaker. Marjorie loved her family and always tried to be there for them if it were in her power. She enjoyed country music and dancing. Marjorie was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Scheer Webb; and three brothers, John Scheer, William Scheer, and Robert Scheer. Marjorie is survived by a son, Gordon Langabee of Salisbury, Md.; a granddaughter, Robin Hastings and her husband Scott of Laurel; two nieces, Debbie Webb of Magnolia, and Susan Scheer; a nephew, Tom Webb of New York; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 25, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
